Philosophy and Mission
JFVM purpose is to:
・Train skilled veterinarians with a comprehensive knowledge and advanced techniques through interdisciplinary collaboration and systematically enforcing the international standardized veterinary education.
・Produce human resources with a good comprehension of the global community able to accommodate social/local needs by developing the improvement of a healthy society with wide perspectives and moral values, as well as problem-solving and self-improving skills.
JFVM Transfer Student
JFVM at YU seeks out students who exhibit strong academic interest and inquiring mind; and students who have logical thinking skills, creativity, communication skills for teamwork and society in harmony with nature. JFVM seeks out students who:
① Understand the wide-range responsibility as veterinarian. Have clear purpose to work as a veterinarian.
② Learn the concepts of basic subjects such as natural science, humanity, social science and language with adequate academic ability to comprehend knowledge and skills as a veterinarian.
③ Actively seek for healthy society in healthy harmony with animals and have good communication skills.
④ Apply the acquired skills from their former education to the study of veterinary medicine.
⑤ Exercise their leadership and their wide experience.
